You may need to enable this as a feature on your device. On a Samsung S5 with the current version of Android you navigate to Settings > System > Security then check the checkbox beside 'Unknown Sources'.
If you have another device check Settings > System > Security and if there's nothing there then Google 'enable unknown sources for _____' where _____ is the name and model of your device.
